OMAHA, NE--(Marketwired - Nov 7, 2013) - Solutionary, the leading pure-play managed security services provider (MSSP), today announced that it has successfully completed the annual Payment Card Industry Approved Scanning Vendor (PCI ASV) lab certification test process for 2013-2014, marking its 10th consecutive year as an ASV. The testing criteria consist of an evaluation of the network scan testing abilities of an ASV's chosen scanning solution and an evaluation of its reporting process to ensure compliance with stated reporting requirements.

Solutionary has been helping clients remain in compliance with payment card regulations as a certified scanning assessor prior to the formation of the PCI Security Standards Council (SSC) in 2006. Over this time, Solutionary has been on the cutting edge of developing efficient and streamlined processes that allow organizations that process card payments to remain focused on their core businesses while reducing the time and resources required to complete compliance activities. As other ASVs have come and gone, Solutionary remains committed to helping organizations achieve and maintain PCI compliance.

"Often ASV or vendor scanning solutions are not focused on efficient tools and processes that free up individuals or teams from red tape and headaches, which gives the impression that they do not have the customers' best interest in mind," said Court Little, senior security strategist, Solutionary. "With the ActiveGuard® platform and the built-in, PCI-compliant vulnerability lifecycle management (VLM), we've ensured that the customers' needs are being met by providing PCI-compliant workflow, efficient processes and the subject-matter experts necessary to ease the burden of achieving and maintaining compliance with PCI and other standards."

To establish a successful PCI program, it is critical that any ASV provide an efficient process to manage not only its external ASV scan results but also the internal PCI scanning program. Through the patented, cloud-based ActiveGuard® Security and Compliance Platform, Solutionary provides customers with an efficient process to manage both of these. ActiveGuard features built-in vulnerability lifecycle management, designed to make every step of the PCI scanning process more efficient, from scanning to reporting to remediation.

Solutionary is a PCI ASV and Qualified Security Assessor (QSA). Solutionary provides certified security experts on staff, including PCI Payment Application QSAs and PCI QSAs.
