KEMP Technologies Names Networking Industry Veteran Atchison Frazer, CMO

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Nov 12, 2013) - KEMP Technologies, the leading provider of application-centric load-balancer solutions, named networking industry veteran Atchison Frazer as its first Chief Marketing Officer. Frazer brings to KEMP more than 20 years of strategic marketing experience, most recently as CMO of data-fabric switch vendor Gnodal Ltd, now part of Cray, Cisco's global enterprise services business and network security pioneer, Fortinet.

Frazer will supervise global marketing and communications for KEMP, recently named to the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs), primarily based on the company's strong virtual, software and appliance load balancer product lines. KEMP Technologies enables organizations ranging from small businesses to large enterprises to public sector and educational institutions to rapidly deploy virtual ADCs with greater agility for specific application workloads whereby hardware appliances traditionally have been the main option.

"Atchison comes to KEMP with a strong track record of designing winning strategies for both global IT leaders including Cisco and HP, as well as successful start-ups like Fortinet," said Ray Downes, CEO, KEMP Technologies. "He has been a catalyst for driving disruptive technology solutions to broad acceptance by enterprise customers, strategic channels and service providers."

Atchison was responsible for services strategy and sales enablement to support Cisco's global enterprise theatre and enterprise transformation market segments. Atchison also served as the enterprise marketing lead for network optimization, security services, professional advisory services, solutions architecture, emerging technologies and acquisition integration.

Prior to Cisco, Atchison was Vice President of Marketing for ServGate Technologies, whose Full Context Inspection technology enabled a new enterprise firewall category endorsed by IDC as UTM or unified threat management. Before that, Atchison worked at UTM visionary Fortinet, where he was responsible for corporate marketing, leading the company's outbound messaging and positioning strategies in the enterprise firewall and integrated network services space.

"KEMP Technologies is well-poised to bridge traditional network optimization with application-aware delivery for business critical functions such web services, security, ERP and CRM, with the flexibility to accommodate both virtual/cloud IT environments as well as hardware-accelerated requirements," said Frazer. "I'm especially bullish about the ADC space as the explosion of non-website delivery control demands continues unabated with the proliferation of API-enabled mobile and cloud apps that require optimal service delivery performance."
