Altech MultiMedia's teams are distributed around the globe, including locations in South Africa, India, Australia, and Germany, managing more than 10 software development projects at any given time. Prior to implementing SVN MultiSite, Altech's developers, as well as its partners in Russia, experienced slow check-in and checkout times accessing distributed repositories.

Altech needed a cohesive distributed source code management system that would eliminate latency and enable its teams to collaborate more effectively. After completing a trial of WANdisco SVN MultiSite with repositories in South Africa and Australia, the company added more repositories around the world, allowing the company to leverage all of its worldwide developers across every project.

With SVN MultiSite deployed, the organization has eliminated the lost productivity associated with developers waiting for code at the time of checkout and check-in. Developers in all locations now enjoy LAN-speed performance and access to the most up-to-date changes, and servers are continuously synchronized automatically.
