Biba Adds Screen Sharing and Desktop HD Audio to Hassle-Free Conferencing

Switch to Biba From a Legacy Vendor and Save More Than 50%

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Dec 3, 2013) - Biba Systems today announced version 2.0 of its Cloud-Powered Business Communication service and new competitive pricing, both aimed at disrupting the audio and web conferencing market. Biba version 2.0 introduces its hassle-free audio conferencing application to the desktop and expands its offering to include screen sharing as well.

"Today's conference calling solutions are based on 20-year-old phone technology that is both expensive and hard to use. Employees waste countless hours per year waiting for others to dial-in, figuring out who is on the call, and trying to hear over distracting background noise. Organizations need to be fast, lean and mobile. Biba is helping to build that future -- starting with reimagining conference calls," said Carlin Wiegner, CEO and Co-Founder of Biba.

Unlike other solutions, Biba's Audio Conferencing technology is based on Internet Technology. It delivers a simple and powerful user experience across mobile and desktop devices while also delivering sound quality that is six times better than that of mobile phones, all at half the price. For existing customers of Intercall, PGi, Cisco WebEx, Citrix GoToMeeting or similar products, Biba Pro will cost at least 50% less than what an organization is paying today. Biba basic functionality is still available free of charge.

"With a mobile-first approach, Biba eases call entry through the elimination of dial in numbers, conference codes, and leader PINs. Call fidelity is amazingly great whether on their OTT mobile or desktop app, and it is easy to transfer between the two during the call," said Managing Partner at Wainhouse Research, Marc Beattie. "Biba hits on the critical elements that are ripe for disruption in the traditional conferencing market. We believe services like Biba are the next generation of integrated communication and collaboration."

Biba's core features include:

  • Auto-Call - Biba calls you at the beginning of the conference call. No more dial-in & passcodes.
  • Visual Roster - Biba shows you who is on the call, who is talking, who is muted and more.
  • Remote Mute - Biba lets you mute other callers who are making noise.
  • HD Audio - Biba VoIP is 6 times the sound quality of cellular phones.
  • Mobile Clients - Biba was designed first to run on iPhone, iPad and Android.
  • Desktop Clients - Biba is now available for Mac and Windows machines. [NEW]
  • Screen Sharing - Biba users can now share their screen with one click. [NEW]

"Collaboration is transforming the way companies work and interact with their customers," said CEO of GainSight, Nick Mehta. "Biba's combination of mobile-first design, crystal clear sound quality and disruptive pricing is a huge step forward compared to existing conference call experiences."
