GSX Releases Worldwide Market Report on IT Manager Current Needs for Microsoft Application Performance Monitoring and Analytics

New Global Report Highlights Key Trends for Microsoft Collaboration Professionals

Based on their answers, GSX identified four critical needs for Microsoft applications:

  • Better release management. While Microsoft's release innovations have helped reduce the impact of upgrades on users, deploying the latest release does not always go as smoothly as expected.

  • Smoother Migration. Key migration challenges were in consolidating data on virtualized servers, reducing migration impacts, and validating architecture designs.

  • Cloud migration concerns. Respondents felt that they were not ready to migrate 100% of their infrastructure and workloads to a public cloud, citing security and reliability as key concerns.

  • Lack of advanced reporting. Many participants point to the absence of advanced reporting and analytics in System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), pointing to the need to employ third party solutions to meet their needs.
