China Metro Rural Holdings Limited Announces Resignation of Non-Executive Director


NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Dec 6, 2013) -  The Board of Directors of China Metro-Rural Holdings Limited (NYSE MKT: CNR) (the "Company") today has announced that Mr. Cheng Chung Hing ("Mr. Cheng") has tendered his resignation as member of the Board of Directors, to be effective December 5, 2013. Mr. Cheng served as Chairman of the board of directors, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company from July 24, 2009 until August 25, 2011, June 1, 2011 and March 22, 2010 respectively. He remained as one of the directors of the Company since March 22, 2010 until his resignation.

The Board of Directors of the Company has accepted Mr. Cheng's resignation and Mr. Cheng confirms that he does not have any disagreement with the Board of Directors and there are no other matters related to his resignation that need to be brought to the attention of the shareholders of CNR or the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.
