On New Year's Eve, theGREATROOM will be transformed into a festive party venue where the night will include a reception, five-course dinner with wine, DJ, dancing and champagne toast. The celebratory menu at this restaurant in Fremont, California "features fresh and light flavors from the land and sea," executive chef Paul Rohadfox says. "For each course, we're pairing a carefully selected wine from Wente Vineyards, located in the neighboring Livermore Valley."

The five course-meal kicks off with Salsify Velouté with Nookta oyster and Russian caviar, paired with Louis Mel Sauvignon Blanc. The second course features a Bluefin Toro Crudo with grapefruit gelée, avocado and chili oil paired with a Riva Ranch Chardonnay. For the third course, things get a little heartier with a black bass served with Tiger prawn, Matsutake mushrooms, young Leeks, yuzu butter and shoyu air; this is paired with a Reliz Creek Pinot Noir. A delicious fourth course features a crisp pork belly with parsnip puree, fennel apple salad, citrus pudding cider gastrique and a Riverbank Riesling pairing. The delicious meal ends with popping donuts served with dulce de leche, potato sugar and espresso gel, and paired with an orange Muscat.
