Geometry Global Solidifies Leadership in North America Amid Steady Upward Trajectory

Precision-Activation Agency Poised for Continued Momentum Into 2014

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Dec 12, 2013) - Following a year of strong growth and new business momentum, WPP's Geometry Global, the largest and most geographically complete activation agency, today announced a number of senior leadership appointments, effective immediately.

The new leadership positions are as follows:

  • Bruce Henderson, Chief Creative Officer, North America
  • Eric Pakurar, Chief Strategy Officer, North America
  • Hugh Boyle, Chief Digital Officer, Global and North America
  • David Coppock, Chief Data and Analytics Officer, North America
  • Kevin Shelhamer, Managing Director, Chicago
  • Kristen McCaney, Director, Communications and New Business, North America

"To deliver on our ambition of being the most imaginative, effective and influential activation network in the world, we need leadership in North America who can, without question, deliver," said Harvey Kipnis, co-CEO of Geometry Global, North America. "We have every confidence that Bruce, Eric, Hugh, David, Kevin and Kristen will help us make big strides against this goal."

The appointments come on the heels of the formation of Geometry Global as an autonomous network within WPP in June 2013, subsequent new business wins and organic growth across a diverse range of categories.

"The purchase decision journey is evolving, and activation must evolve with it, into something more personal, more relevant, and more effective," added Sheila Hartnett, co-CEO of Geometry Global, North America. "From strategy and creativity to analytics, the commitment to the client that this group embodies is exactly what is needed to redefine activation and lead the Geometry Global team into 2014."

Bruce Henderson - Chief Creative Officer, North America
In this new role, Bruce Henderson will be based in New York, providing creative vision for the entire North American network. Since joining Geometry Global, he has helped bring a number of new clients into the agency and has championed breakthrough creative work including the recently launched "Animal Instincts" Pet Condoms campaign for the San Francisco SPCA.

Henderson's work has been recognized by a range of US and global industry awards including the Effie Awards, Addy Awards, Webby Awards, OMMA Awards, and Reggie Awards. Most recently, the agency was awarded a gold Sustained Success Effie (along with partner agencies Havas, Starcom and Mirrorball) for the Dos Equis Most Interesting Man campaign.

Eric Pakurar - Chief Strategy Officer, North America
Eric Pakurar will lead the North American planning and strategy teams for Geometry Global, based in New York. Working with Jonathan Dodd, Geometry Global's Global Chief Strategy Officer, Pakurar has advanced the agency's planning discipline in just a few short months. He has joined Geometry Global from G2, where he served at Executive Director, Head of Strategy since 2010.

Hugh Boyle, Chief Digital Officer, Global and North America
Hugh Boyle will oversee the expansion of Geometry Global's already significant digital capabilities in North America. Boyle will be based in Chicago and will have North American responsibilities added to his portfolio, after serving as Global Head of Digital for OgilvyAction for the past 3 years. His responsibilities will include a strong emphasis on growing Geometry's digital share from current clients. In addition to this new North American role, Boyle will serve as Global Chief Digital Officer to continue to deliver leading edge work across both Global and North American networks.

David Coppock, Chief Data and Analytics Officer, North America
David Coppock will oversee the North American data and analytics practices for Geometry Global from the New York office. His responsibilities will include managing and scaling this offering across the network. Coppock joined Geometry Global in June 2013, following a lengthy career in the data/analytics space, with key roles at companies including AT&T, Draft FCB, OgilvyOne and Tivo.

Kevin Shelhamer, Managing Director, Chicago
As head of the Chicago office, Kevin Shelhamer will lead an integrated offering across Chicago for Geometry Global. Shelhamer joined Geometry Global earlier this year, where he quickly demonstrated a courageous and nuanced leadership. He comes to Geometry Global following a lengthy stint at Saatchi & Saatchi X, most recently as SVP, Managing Director.

Kevin will partner with Nancy Leibig, Executive Director, General Manager, Chicago, over the coming months to form an integrated offering across Chicago for Geometry Global. In addition to playing a key role on Kevin's Chicago-based leadership team, Nancy will continue to manage a portfolio of North American clients and take on global responsibilities.

Kristen McCaney, Director, Communications and New Business, North America
Kristen McCaney will continue to lead new business efforts with the added role of overseeing internal and external communications for Geometry Global, North America. McCaney joined G2's New York office in 2009 in an account management role, and most recently served as Associate Director, Integrated Solutions and Business Development. Much of Geometry's new business performance during 2013 has been the result of McCaney and her team's efforts.
