Energistics Names Philippe Malzac of TOTAL Chairman of Its Board of Directors


HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwired - Dec 17, 2013) - Energistics, the upstream oil and gas standards consortium, announced today that Mr. Philippe Malzac, CIO, E&P for TOTAL has been elected Chairman of the Energistics Board of Directors. Duncan Junor, Vice President for Halliburton, steps down after a two year tenure.

Mr. Malzac joined Elf Aquitaine as a geophysicist. He was successively appointed Project then Team Leader in seismic processing, head of the seismic department, and then Exploration Manager in Norway. Mr. Malzac held the position of R&D Business Manager, then Vice President Northern Europe (UK and Geosciences). He was Managing Director in Libya, before being appointed to his current position as Vice President, Information Systems for E&P in 2007. Philippe graduated from University Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris and from Ecole Nationale Supérieure du Pétrole et des Moteurs.
