iovation Establishes European User Group to Collaborate on Fraud Issues

iovation European Client Base Increases 114 Percent in Three Years

PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwired - Dec 19, 2013) - iovation, stopping Internet fraud and identifying good online customers by leveraging the world's largest device reputation database, today announced it has established a European user group. The user group provides another way for iovation's growing European customer base -- which has increased 114 percent over the past three years -- to collaborate about the latest fraud attempts they are seeing and the resources that can be leveraged to stop them. The inaugural European User Group Meeting will take place on Monday, the 3rd of February, at the London offices of CIFAS, a UK-based not-for-profit fraud prevention service.

"The bad guys often launch geographic-specific fraud campaigns, leveraging local insights to customize their attacks," said Max Anhoury, iovation's Vice President of Global Sales. "There is nothing more powerful than a room full of fraud and risk professionals working together to combat fraud. We're excited to assemble some of the world's best and brightest fraud experts to discuss best practices and industry insights -- sharing strategies, tools and workflow to improve the efficacy of their fraud prevention practices."

The European user group is exclusively available to iovation customers. Besides providing an avenue to improve fraud intelligence, it will give customers an opportunity to influence iovation's product roadmap and provide feedback for the company's newly introduced solutions.

Since July 2013, iovation has launched numerous new features for its flagship fraud fighting service, ReputationManager 360, including Tor detection and compound business rules. Tor is a privacy protocol designed to help people browse the Internet anonymously. The Tor detection feature by iovation exposes devices leveraging Tor for transactions, a significant percentage of which have fraudulent intent. With compound business rules, iovation customers can combine multiple ReputationManager 360 business rules into a single rule, resulting in more precise control and flexibility that enables businesses to adapt quickly as fraud changes.
