National Boxing Franchise's Campaign Wins Prestigious Industry Award

TITLE Boxing Club's(R) "Knockout" Campaign Wins Davey Award; Silver in the Integrated Campaign Category

OVERLAND PARK, Kan., Jan. 6, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TITLE Boxing Club, the largest boxing franchise in the nation, has recently been awarded the Silver Prize in the Integrated Campaign category of the Davey Awards, for its creative "Knockout" Campaign, created by its branding agency, Plan B® [the Agency Alternative].

With nearly 4,000 entries from around the globe, the Davey Awards honors the finest creative work from the best small firms, agencies and companies worldwide. Submissions for the Davey Awards are judged to evaluate distinction in creative work, and winners are awarded for their merit based on a standard of excellence.

Plan B entered TITLE Boxing Club's "Knockout" Campaign into the 2013 Davey Awards after its successful completion earlier this year. This campaign redefined TITLE Boxing Club's look, tone and feel by playing off of the club's intense and exhilarating workout sessions. The integrated campaign extended to print, outdoor, direct mail, door hangers, sales collateral, radio, club graphics and narrowcast video and was built to provide the brand's growing network of franchisees with customizable, on-demand marketing support. Custom photography, combined with edgy messaging landed a "one-two punch" in delivering the brand's value proposition.

"We went to Plan B wanting to establish better synergy within TITLE Boxing Club's nationwide branding efforts, while also fighting the misconception that it is a fighting-based boxing club," explained John Rotche, President of TITLE Boxing Club. "Plan B delivered a full library of campaign assets that strategically appealed to motivated fitness enthusiasts and clearly defined what the brand stood for. The campaign was a huge success and we were pleased to see that it is being recognized by such a prestigious award group."

The "Knockout" Campaign won the Silver Award in the Integrated Campaigns category under advertising. Winners were selected by the International Academy of Visual Arts (IAVA) and recipients of the Silver Awards had to achieve a score of seven or more out of a 10-point scale, evaluated on the distinction in their creative works within the Integrated Campaign category.

"We are absolutely thrilled that our 'Knockout' Campaign was recognized industry-wide with this award," said Clay Cooper, Partner and Director of Client Services for Plan B. "And we couldn't be more proud of our partnership with TITLE Boxing Club, who had the vision and courage to push the envelope in giving us the creative freedom to explore a breadth of possibilities until finding the perfect fit. We are looking forward to more success together in the future."

TITLE Boxing Club is filling a niche in the fitness industry for both men and women alike. The 60-minute workout guarantees results and takes place in a non-threatening environment. TITLE Boxing Club offers members an interval-based workout program that combines bouts of intense cardio and boxing exercises with short periods of rest. This type of interval training has been shown to provide the most effective work-to-rest ratio, optimizing the client's results.

TITLE Boxing Club does not promote actual fighting in its clubs, but rather encourages all participants at different fitness levels to workout at their own pace. Trained instructors lead the classes, each with different motivational styles and techniques. Some instructors focus on upper body training while others might incorporate more cardiovascular exercises into their session. During classes, members feed off of a group fitness atmosphere while music takes their mind off the intense effort so they workout harder, longer. Along with the physical results, the concept offers clients intense emotional and spiritual changes as well. Members leave each session with new-found confidence and empowerment.
