Energistics Elects Chandra Yeleshwarapu and Matt Vanderfeen to Its Board of Directors


HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwired - Jan 14, 2014) - Energistics, the upstream oil and gas standards consortium, announced today that Chandra Yeleshwarapu, director of Information Management and Platform Technologies at Halliburton - Landmark Software and Services; and Matt Vanderfeen, Vice President of Petroleum Consulting for Weatherford, have been elected to its Board of Directors.

Prior to joining Halliburton in 2011, Yeleshwarapu was senior director of Solutions Management for Ariba (An SAP Company), and spent 10 years with Oracle in a number of senior positions including director of Product Strategy and Product Management.

On his election as a Board Member of Energistics, Chandra Yeleshwarapu said, "I am honored to be a part of Energistics and its esteemed Board and look forward to knowledge sharing and opportunities to collectively influence our industry to adopt open standards."

Vanderfeen has 32 years of experience in Exploration and Production functions, including well site engineer, division geophysicist, application development engineer, program manager, global technical services manager and global business manager. He has spent a large portion of his career in the business of data and information management focused on an understanding of the impact on geoscience workflows.

On his election as a Board Member of Energistics, Matt Vanderfeen said, "I am proud to have been asked to join the Energistics Board and I hope to provide significant value and insight on how to continue the momentum on uptake of data exchange standards."

Yeleshwarapu is a co-author on multiple U.S. patent applications. He earned his bachelor's degree in engineering from Pune University in India, his master of science in software engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and his MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.

Vanderfeen has a Bachelor of Science degree in Ocean Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne Florida and a Master of Science degree in Geophysical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in Golden Colorado.
