Acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, Jacques Gourde, Member of Parliament for Lotbinière-Chutes-de-la-Chaudière and Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister, for Official Languages and for the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, today announced that Maple Leaf Charcoal Inc. has been granted financial assistance from the Government of Canada to improve the productivity of its charcoal manufacturing operations.
This assistance has been awarded in the form of a $250,000 repayable financial contribution through Canada Economic Development's Quebec Economic Development Program.
