VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Jan. 17, 2014) - After more than 100 years as the BC Medical Association, the organization that represents physicians around the province will take on a new public name - Doctors of BC, along with a new logo.

The name change officially takes place on Monday, January 20^th so going forward please use it and/or the new logo when referencing the BC Medical Association.

The name change is the most visible part of the Association's three-year strategic plan, and has been adopted to better reflect the goal of stronger engagement between physicians and local communities, Health Authorities and patients to improve patient care and the health system as a whole.

Our website address will change to doctorsofbc.ca, as will the domain name of our email addresses.
