The Linley Group Hosts 2014 Data Center Conference

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwired - Jan 22, 2014) - The Linley Group announces its 2014 Linley Tech Conference series, at the Hyatt Regency in Santa Clara, Calif., will start with next month's Linley Tech Data Center Conference on Feb. 5-6. This single-track event targets network-equipment vendors, server OEMs, system designers, network-service providers, enterprise-network managers and software developers making decisions on technologies for the data center.

"Public-cloud, enterprise, and service-provider data centers are adopting new compute, storage, and network architectures at an astounding rate," said Bob Wheeler, principal analyst with The Linley Group. "By providing insights into these rapid changes and enabling interaction with technology leaders, our conference provides attendees with the information they need to make educated decisions about the design of next-generation systems for data centers."

The conference will open with an overview of the market, technologies, equipment-design, and silicon trends impacting data-center equipment. The program's networking topics will include software-defined networking; virtualization and tunneling; the move from multi-tiered to flat networks; and 100G Ethernet. Compute topics will include cloud computing and data-center workloads; acceleration architectures, and power-efficient server processors.

The conference keynote on the second day will feature Kushagra Vaid, General Manager for Hardware Engineering, Cloud & Enterprise Division, at Microsoft, who will deliver a talk entitled "The Rise of the Cloud - Boon or Doom for the Hardware Industry?"

The Linley Group offers free attendance to qualified registrants who sign up by January 30, 2014. For more information on the conference program and to register, please visit https://www.linleygroup.com/data-center-conference.
