The Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Industry, Mike Lake, today met with space industry representatives at the National Optics Institute's innovation and entrepreneurship day, marking the organization's 25th anniversary. Mr. Lake addressed delegates and toured the Institute's facilities.

- Over the last five years, total revenues generated by the Canadian space sector increased by 19 percent or $533 million.

- On December 2, 2013, Industry Minister James Moore announced the Government of Canada's response to the space-related recommendations made following the Review of Aerospace and Space Programs and Policies led by the Honourable David Emerson.
