Government of Canada Supports Commercialization Efforts of Table de concertation agroalimentaire de l'Outaouais


GATINEAU, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Jan. 22, 2014) - Canada Economic Development

The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, today announced that the Table de concertation agroalimentaire de l'Outaouais (TCAO) has been granted funding to promote the region's agrifood companies and products on the Ontario market.

The assistance, provided in the form of a $104,062 non-repayable financial contribution, has been awarded through Canada Economic Development's Quebec Economic Development Program.

Quick facts

- This investment will enable the TCAO to develop tools and organize activities to promote Outaouais agrifood enterprises and their products on the Ontario market.

- The project presented by the TCAO is in line with the 2013-2018 Agrifood Strategic Plan for the Outaouais.

- The TCAO is a non-profit organization representing more than 130 Outaouais agrifood companies.
