WOBURN, MA--(Marketwired - Jan 29, 2014) - Today Acronis®, a global leader in data protection, announced Vartan Minasyan as its new Lead Program Manager in Consumer Products, after his tenure as Head of Product Management, Consumer Products at Kaspersky Lab.
During his six years at Kaspersky Lab, Vartan prepared and led the worldwide commercial release of a suite of solutions and had a major impact on the product and marketing strategies for the company. He oversaw the design and functional improvement of key products, including: Kaspersky™ Anti-Virus® and Kaspersky™ Internet Security® for Windows® and Mac®.
At Acronis, Vartan will create and launch new products, including Acronis' flagship backup solution -- Acronis True Image™. He will also increase the effectiveness of the current solution and drive educational campaigns. These campaigns will help consumers understand the value of their data and consequently the importance of backing up their digital lives.

Vartan Minasyan graduated from Moscow State Mining University in 2001 and immediately after started work at the I.T. Co. In 2005, he moved to Alcatel where he developed the partner network for the CIS. In March 2007, Vartan led product management at Kaspersky Lab.
Vartan Minasyan is one of a number of key new hires in the last few months. Acronis has successfully recruited top IT professionals from Microsoft®, Kaspersky Lab and Compuware. Specifically, Sergey Malgin who had overseen Microsoft Russia's Northwest Region, and became Senior Country Manager of the Acronis office in Russia and the CIS. David Eggers also joined the team as Chief Financial Officer from Kaspersky Lab.
