Cornet Technology, Inc. (CTI) Celebrates its 25th Anniversary

Company marks 25 years of designing, engineering, and manufacturing innovative communication solutions

SPRINGFIELD, Va., Jan. 31, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cornet Technology, Inc. a leading provider of voice, video, and data communications solutions in the U.S. and abroad, is pleased to announce that January 31, 2014 will mark the 25th anniversary of its founding.

25 years ago Cornet Technology, Inc. (originally Cornet, Inc.) founder Nat Kumar envisioned a company that would produce state-of-the art products for large commercial clients such as banks and other financial institutions as well as government agencies here and abroad.   In the early days the company provided sales, maintenance, installation, integration, modification, and repair of digital switching systems to the global enterprise market.  As the Company's reputation for providing sound solutions grew, customers began to ask for custom-built equipment leading to the expansion of in-house design and manufacturing departments and the introduction of the Company's flagship switching product the MTX an innovative next generation matrix switch in 1994.

The Company entered the Defense market in 1999 with the sale of a ruggedized communications switch to the U.S. Navy.  In the same time frame, the company developed a line of video encoding/decoding and recording products to meet the needs of Intelligent Transportation and the military surveillance markets.  As the defense business grew, CTI focused exclusively on the C4ISR and Homeland Security market leading to the development and marketing of a new family of communication and interoperability products.

Today, Nat Kumar's vision has become a reality; CTI's innovative video, voice, and data communication products are deployed across the spectrum of military and government operations.  Over 120 U.S. Navy vessels utilize Cornet Technology communications products for off ship communications.  Newer ships are utilizing the Company's IP-communications solutions for both on and off ship communications.  Other military product deployments include U.S. Air Force command/control centers, reconnaissance platforms, and ten large tech control facilities for the Army, Navy, and Coast Guard.   The company has international subsidiaries located in Japan, India, and Germany.

"Twenty-five years ago, I launched Cornet Technology, Inc. with the mindset that success will come if you continue to provide customers with innovative products that meet or exceed their exacting requirements.  This mindset positively affects how we relate with our customers and has carried us through good and bad economic times," said Founder Nat Kumar.

Kumar added: "I wish to thank Cornet Technology's customers, employees, and vendors for their loyalty and dedication and look forward to what we can achieve in the years to come."
