Tech Data Introduces Worldwide Mobile Business

Appoints Rod Millar to Senior Vice President, Tech Data Mobile Solutions;
Promotes Heather Murray to Vice President
CLEARWATER, Fla., Feb. 4, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tech Data Corporation
(Nasdaq:TECD) today announced the introduction of Tech Data Mobile Solutions,
the company's new worldwide mobile business. Company veteran Rod Millar has
been appointed to the new position of senior vice president, Tech Data Mobile
Solutions, in which he will lead the strategic direction, operations, and
go-to-market execution of Tech Data's worldwide mobile business, including Tech
Data Mobile in Europe. Millar will report to Nestor Cano, president, Europe and
Joe Quaglia, president, the Americas.
Millar has relocated from the United Kingdom and will be based in the company's
headquarters in Clearwater, Fla. Millar has been with Tech Data since 2007,
serving as President of Tech Data Mobile in Europe. Previously, he was with the
Caudwell Group, a leading UK-based telecommunications company, for more than
seven years.

officer at Tech Data. 'Over the past seven years, Rod has been instrumental in
the growth and development of Tech Data Mobile, our European mobile business.
This new organizational structure further solidifies our commitment to the
growing mobile space and better aligns our resources to this important
component of our company strategy.'
The company also announced the promotion of Heather Murray to vice president,
Tech Data Mobile Solutions. In this role, she will lead the sales, marketing,
and operational functions of Tech Data's mobile business in the U.S. A 15-year
veteran of the company, Murray has helped lead the company's U.S. mobile
strategy since the formation of TDMobility. She has been responsible for the
development and delivery of complete end-to-end mobile solutions to enable the
company's channel of VARs, from devices to the data center, as well as the
recruitment of new vendor partners to TDMobility. Murray, who currently serves
as chair of the executive board of CompTIA's Mobility Community, will report
directly to Millar. She holds a B.B.A. from the University of Tampa.
