("DIAGNOS" or "the Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:ADK), a leader in healthcare technical services including, screening, software and algorithm development, data analysis, and image processing, announced today the signing of a Contract with California-based Chaparral Medical Group for the deployment and usage of CARA, for diabetic retinopathy screening platform in that state.
Chaparral Medical Group is a well established multi-speciality physician group with multiple clinics in California that has decided to increase the scope of services they offer to their patients by integrating a CARA-enabled fundus camera, and DIAGNOS support, into their practice. Chaparral serves a total of 10,000 patients suffering from diabetes in their network and views this camera as the beginning of a larger project that will ultimately encompass all of their patients who require annual retinal screening. The camera has been deployed in an endocrinology clinic in Pomona, CA, where DIAGNOS has trained local staff to perform screening exams and use DIAGNOS' tele-opthalmology platform.
