Infrastructure Improvements Carried Out at Club nautique de Cap-aux-Meules With Support of Government of Canada


ÎLES-DE-LA-MADELEINE, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Feb. 21, 2014) - Canada Economic Development

The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that Club nautique de Cap-aux-Meules received financial assistance to modernize one of its installations.

This assistance was granted in the form of a $72,925 non-repayable financial contribution through Canada Economic Development's Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund.

Quick facts

  • The project, part of a long-term improvement plan, involved repairing the boating club's launching ramp. The funding enabled the club to carry out the work more rapidly by facilitating the purchase of locally-sourced materials.

  • Completion of this project will result in positive spinoffs in that users will now have access to more attractive and functional facilities.
