CHESTERVILLE, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Feb. 22, 2014) - Canada Economic Development
The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announced today the funding of four community infrastructure improvement projects.
The assistance, granted in the form of non-repayable financial contributions totalling $155,672, has been awarded through Canada Economic Development's Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund.

Non-repayable contribution of $24,782 on a total investment of $49,634. The aim of this project is to renovate and expand the recreational infrastructure that serves users of the various municipal sports fields. This investment will make it possible to build restrooms and a heated changing room as well as to provide storage space for sports and maintenance equipment. |

Parish Municipality of Saint-Rosaire |
Non-repayable contribution of $20,981 on a total investment of $54,194. This project involves renovating a community infrastructure that houses both municipal administrative offices and a community centre. The funding will serve mainly to replace the windows and upgrade the heating and air conditioning systems directly related to the community centre. |

Township Municipality of Ham-Nord (Project 1) |
Non-repayable contribution of $38,139 on a total investment of $79,746. This project is aimed at renovating and modernizing the community centre in the Township Municipality of Ham-Nord. The funding will enable the municipality to repair the building's roof and improve the multipurpose hall by, among other things, installing a lighting system, stage, acoustic curtains, a sound system and furniture. |

Township Municipality of Ham-Nord (Project 2) |
Non-repayable contribution of $71,770 on a total investment of $143,540. This project is for phase two of the modernization of the community centre in the Township Municipality of Ham-Nord. The assistance will serve to replace some of the sanitary equipment, modernize the restroom counters, repair and paint the interior walls and replace the exterior siding, windows and heating devices. |
