Sauce Labs Surpasses 100 Million Tests Run on Its Cloud Service

Milestone Demonstrates Rapid Adoption of Automated Mobile and Web Application Testing by Developers and Enterprise Organizations Alike

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Feb 27, 2014) - Sauce Labs, the cloud-based mobile and web application testing company, today announced more than 100 million tests have been executed using its testing platform. The milestone marks significant growth for Sauce Labs, whose active monthly user base has grown to more than 20,000, and whose enterprise customer base continues to grow significantly as more organizations move to automated testing for releasing high-quality applications on a continuous basis.

The Sauce Labs testing platform offers real browsers and OS environments that enable organizations to test and deliver mobile and web-based applications to the market faster and easier. With some of the world's largest companies and brands using Sauce Labs, including Mozilla, Salesforce.com, Dropbox and Yelp, the company has vastly expanded its capabilities in the last two years, supporting more than 270 browser and OS platforms, adding testing support for hybrid and native mobile applications, and providing the first virtualized public Mac OS X cloud.

"Across industries worldwide, web and mobile applications are driving business, and in the development community, Continuous Integration services are being adopted more rapidly than ever to ensure these applications effectively meet high expectations and growing demands," said John Dunham, CEO of Sauce Labs. "As we reach the tremendous milestone of 100 million test runs, we attribute a large part of our success to our enterprise customers, who share with us the common goal of ensuring that developers have access to the most effective resources and top-notch tools to deliver high-quality products to the market faster."

The success of the 100 million test runs on Sauce Labs is due in part to the mobile momentum the company is experiencing. Sauce Labs recently collaborated with the Selenium Project along with developers in a cross-industry group, including Facebook, Mozilla, eBay and Salesforce.com, to take on the future API for mobile app testing. Sauce Labs has seen tremendous growth in the adoption of Appium, its open source mobile automation tool for testing iOS and Android hybrid and native apps, and the company's Open Sauce program, which provides free usage to open source projects, has attracted more than 800 projects since releasing in late 2012, including Ember.js, Travis CI, YUI, AngularJS and more.
