Quotes

"Our justice and criminal systems can be intimidating and confusing to navigate, especially for some of the most vulnerable members of our communities. With partners like the ETA Vaughan Women's Shelter, we are making a difference in the life of Canada's women and girls by giving them the knowledge to be able to feel empowered, and have their voices heard in the judicial system. This funding, from the Federal government will contribute to their healing and growth. It is only through their active participation that justice can be done."

Peter MacKay
Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada

"Our Government continues to support efforts to end family violence in Canada, and to support those who need assistance steering their way through the justice system. This initiative will help to connect women and girls in the Vaughan area with the help, information and assistance they need to get ahead."

Julian Fantino
Minister of Veterans Affairs
