GPS Hires Two Former Banking Executives to Assist in Expanding the Firm's Footprint


SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwired - Mar 17, 2014) - GPS Capital Markets (www.gpsfx.com), a leading corporate foreign exchange (FX) brokerage firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Mr. JP Jeppesen and Mr. Jeff Smith as Regional Managers.

Messrs. Smith and Jeppesen, who had been vice presidents at Wells Fargo's foreign exchange department, will be responsible for managing and increasing GPS' client base. The pair, which had focused exclusively on the Utah and Idaho Markets, will expand the firm's efforts throughout the Intermountain and Midwest regions.

Before joining GPS, Messrs. Jeppesen and Smith were most recently vice presidents in Wells Fargo's Corporate Foreign Exchange department. Prior to Wells Fargo, Mr. Jeppesen's focus in financial services was in public accounting and corporate finance. He has a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Utah. Mr. Smith was an officer at both KeyBank and Zions Bank's international departments before his employment at Wells Fargo. He has a master's in public accounting from Weber State University.
