Cisco's Collaboration Leader Rowan Trollope to Unveil Strategy to Put High Quality Video at the Fingertips of Everyone in the Organization and to Explain Why "Good Enough" Collaboration Is Not Good Enough

Streamed Keynote on March 18 at Enterprise Connect Will Demo New Cisco Video Offerings to Connect Every Level of Today's Mobile and Cloud Enabled Workforce With Video -- From the Browser to the Boardroom

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwired - Mar 17, 2014) - Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO)

WHAT:

When it comes to collaboration in the workplace, "good enough" collaboration tools fail to deliver what today's workers really need to get their jobs done. In his keynote address on Tuesday, March 18 at Enterprise Connect 2014, Rowan Trollope, senior vice president and general manager of Cisco's Collaboration Technology Group, will highlight how Cisco is taking collaboration out of the corner office and putting it into every office, removing the obstacle for businesses that had to choose between cost and quality.

Onstage, Rowan will demo several new products that completely change how teams can connect and collaborate with colleagues, partners, and customers from any location -- whether that's the work office, the home office, a hotel room, or a coffee shop. Looking specifically at video, Rowan will also demonstrate how Cisco is poised to video-enable the 93 percent of conference rooms without video, with solutions that start at the cost of a PC.

In addition, several Cisco product technical sessions with experts will take place during the Enterprise Connect conference:

  • Cullen Jennings, distinguished engineer, will host a tutorial about WebRTC for Business
    • Monday, March 17 from 8:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. ET
    • Location: Osceola 3/4
  • Rowan Trollope will host the UC Summit Keynote Panel for a discussion titled "Has the Market Caught On, Finally?"
    • Monday, March 17 from 11:00 a.m. to noon ET
    • Location: Osceola C
  • Snorre Kjesbu, vice president and general manager, Collaboration Endpoints Technology Group will speak with a customer panel on the topic of "Use Video Collaboration as a Tool to Become a Trusted Advisor to Your Business"
    • Tuesday, March 18 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. ET
    • Location: Sun C

Enterprise Connect attendees can also visit Cisco at Booth #904 to see demonstrations of collaboration solutions from Cisco and Cisco partners. Demonstrations will showcase how Cisco collaboration solutions address the needs of the variety of workers connecting to today's network, including executives, information workers, customer service representatives, deskless workers and mobile workers.
