Mspark Names Richard J. Hanna Chief Executive Officer

HELENA, AL--(Marketwired - March 17, 2014) - Mspark, a privately held, results-oriented marketing services provider of shared mail in the United States, today announced that it has named Richard J. Hanna as its new chief executive officer, effective immediately.

Hanna was selected after a thorough search process conducted by executive search consulting firm Spencer Stuart. He replaces Albert B. Braunfisch who has served the company as chief executive officer since 2005 and is now chairman of the board.

"I am confident that Rick will be an excellent fit with our organization," said Albert B. Braunfisch, chairman of the board. "He brings an entrepreneurial sensibility coupled with corporate focus, innovation and success that typifies how we think at Mspark."

Hanna said, "I'm very excited about joining the Mspark team and look forward to leading our charge in providing our clients with innovative direct marketing solutions that meet the needs of today's consumers in the markets that we know better than anyone else. The continued expansion of our shared mail products to 23 million rural consumers every month, combined with the integration of digital media services for our clients, gives us tremendous opportunity for solid, profitable growth."

Prior to joining Mspark, Hanna was executive vice president of sales and marketing at Dex One, a $1 billion-plus marketing services company prior to its merger with SuperMedia in May 2013. Before that, he held C-level executive roles with P&L responsibility for both start-up and multi-billion dollar companies, including AI Metrix, Cidera, Motive, Teligent, MFS and MCI. Hanna also served in executive management roles with AT&T and Sprint early in his career. Altogether, Hanna brings with him 30 years of experience in the technology/telecom space.

Hanna is on the Advisory Board of Envictus Corp., Herndon, Va. He completed an executive education program at Stanford University, Palo Alto, Calif., and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Central Connecticut State University, New Britain, Conn.
