What's the Secret to a Perfect Night's Sleep? New Study Reveals Where the "P's" Are

Four Seasons Hotels Commissioned a Sleep Study on Four Continents and Then Created Conditions for the Perfect Night's Rest

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Mar 20, 2014) - Perfect sleeps do not grow on trees. They are invented. And that means finding the perfect mattress that is neither too hard, not too soft and distinctly devoid of "peas."

To manage the task, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts commissioned a detailed international study of those who stay in hotels and found a range of requirements and preferences when it comes to a great night's rest. The result? Lots of data and the prefect sleep set-up, now available in a selection of Four Seasons properties.

The latest issue of Travel-Intel, published by Tours.com, details this study and clarifies the resultant six "Ps" of perfection for a good night's sleep in a hotel.

This week's issue of Travel-Intel also looks at Americans and their "poor vacation habits," or their prevailing habit of not taking their earned vacation days each year. In fact, more than 40 percent of American workers leave paid time off on the table creating a pool of some 429 million unused vacation days that could be used for, well, taking a vacation. The U.S. Travel Association is taking this problem to task and has created sizable ad and message campaign urging Americans to take a break.

For those who do travel and travel well, Travel-Intel focuses in on how to have an "artful" vacation in Uruguay, through Vik Retreats beach resorts, namely Estancia Vik José Ignacio and Playa Vik. Both resorts, members of the exclusive Kurtz-Ahlers collection, are located near each other and are full of art collections and room canvases showcasing the work of noted Latin American artists.

With wedding season in the offing, Travel-Intel asks "what do brides want?" and gets answers from a recent survey on destination weddings conducted by Expedia. Answers also look at what guests want in a destination wedding when a loved one gets married.

Travel-Intel also discusses the state of the cruising industry in this issue, according to recent remarks made by the president of the Cruise Lines International Association, and finds the forecast formidable.

Finally, as Beverly Hills, CA gets ready for its centennial close-up, Travel-Intel showcases five legendary Beverly Hills hotels that have each designed a super suite in honor of the occasion. Each uber-suite is bookable at rates only a celebrity could love: $1,914 throughout 2014.

Travel-Intel, the weekly travel industry news channel from Tours.com, reaches more than 100,000 sellers of travel in the U.S. and Canada and is also posted online.

The publication dispatches writers to travel conferences and popular travel destinations to bring back the latest intel. Current features and archives can be viewed at www.travel-intel.com.

"Travel-Intel is there to help those who sell travel stay on their toes as it is a weekly digital newsletter to the travel industry," says Lark Gould, content director for Travel-Intel and Tours.com.
