ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwired - Apr 9, 2014) - Full mouth reconstruction is a dental procedure that addresses a number of serious issues with a person's teeth to improve function, health, and appearance. Many dentists obtain extensive continuing education in order to provide patients with the most successful experience possible with the treatment. Dr. Alfredo J. Gapuz, Jr., a cosmetic dentist in Orlando, recently highlighted his graduation from the final course in the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies' Core Curriculum in a blog post titled "Dr. Gapuz Masters Full Mouth Reconstruction." Dr. Gapuz says his experiences with the course again proves how continued education can serve a dentist's progression and enhance skills with advanced procedures. "Throughout my career as a cosmetic dentist," says Dr. Gapuz, "I have pursued continuing education opportunities to better my skills and provide my patients with the latest techniques and technology the field has to offer."

This final course in a seven-part series focused on the neuromuscular rehabilitation aspect of full mouth reconstruction and covered topics including diagnosing complications with occlusion and vertical dimensions. In addition, Dr. Gapuz says that the course spent a good deal of time discussing how to achieve the highest levels of patient comfort without compromising the results of the procedure.

Titled "Full Mouth Reconstruction -- Essential Tools for Finalization of Neuromuscular Rehabilitation," this class serves as the culminating component of LVI's course work in restorative dentistry. According to Dr. Gapuz, the course aims to ensure "dentists are able to implement their new working knowledge of Neuromuscular and Aesthetic concepts into their day-to-day procedures." Dr. Gapuz hopes that the patients of his Orlando cosmetic dentistry practice view his graduation as evidence of his commitment to both his own continued education as well as to providing the highest quality of care.

Dr. Gapuz, who has a long history of furthering his education beyond dental school, has also completed coursework from programs at the Center for Dental Implants of South Florida in Miami as well as the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. As a cosmetic dentist, Dr. Gapuz says he is always seeking new ways to improve not only the functionality of his patients' teeth and gums, but also the look of their smiles.
