Designed for DX-format DSLR cameras, the Nikon AF-S DX 18-300mm lens provides a 35mm-equivalent focal length range of 27-450mm, covering wide-angle to telephoto perspectives to suit working in nearly any shooting situation.
Offsetting the expansive zoom range, a Vibration Reduction system is incorporated within the lens' design to compensate for four stops of camera shake, making handheld shooting a much more viable option, even in dim lighting. In regard to focusing, a Silent Wave Motor provides fast, near-silent autofocus performance that is especially well-suited to video recording. An internal focusing system is also employed and helps to maintain the overall lens length during use.
