DENVER, CO--(Marketwired - Apr 10, 2014) - P2 Energy Solutions ("P2") today announced that Harry Debes, who has more than two decades of experience in the software and technology sector, has been appointed to chair P2's Board of Directors.

Debes comes to P2 as an operating partner for Advent International, which acquired P2 from Vista Equity Partners in November 2013. As an operating partner on Advent's technology, media and telecom team, Debes helps the global private equity firm identify attractive investment opportunities and generate post-acquisition value for software and technology organizations and their clients. P2's strong commitment to customer satisfaction and how the company has strategically positioned itself for future growth were among the reasons why Debes and Advent were drawn to P2, he said.

On P2's position for further growth, Debes spoke of the strong investments that P2 is making both domestically and internationally. He referenced P2's acquisition of Perth, Australia-based ISS Group and its suite of production operations solutions, which provide a clear pathway for P2 to create true integrated business operations for upstream organizations around the globe.

Prior to joining Advent, Debes served as Lawson Software's chief executive for six years before the company was acquired by business software provider Infor in July 2011. Lawson's revenues grew from $350 million to $850 million under Debes' stewardship. Debes has also worked for SPL WorldGroup, JD Edwards and Geac Computer Corporation.

Debes joins Mike McCrory, IHS's former president and COO, on the P2 board.
