Puppet Labs Starts 2014 With Its Best New Bookings Quarter Ever

Q1 2014 Marks 110 Percent Increase in New Customers


PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwired - Apr 14, 2014) - Today, Puppet Labs is glad to report a great start to 2014 with another remarkable quarter in sales and customer growth. Q1 2014 marked the companies best quarter ever in terms of new bookings: it increased year-over-year customer growth by 110 percent and nearly doubled bookings, compared to the same quarter last year. Now, more than 500 paying customers around the world use Puppet Enterprise. To support its fast-growing customer base and market demand, Puppet Labs added more than 40 new employees to its team in Q1, representing a 20 percent increase in total headcount.

More accomplishments in Q1 2014

  • Released Puppet Enterprise 3.2 to help customers automate their infrastructure faster than ever -- even if they're new to Puppet Enterprise. New features include supported modules, simplified agent install and a tech preview of Razor, which gets newly racked servers fully installed and managed in minutes, not hours or days.
  • Announced the company will be moving its headquarters to a 75,000-square-foot office at Block 300 in Portland to support its growth rate. Puppet Labs is building out the space now and looks forward to moving into the new office in November.
  • Named a finalist for the 2014 SIIA CODiE Awards in the Best Systems Management Solution category. The SIIA CODiE Awards is the premier peer-recognition awards program for the software and information industries, recognizing product excellence for 29 years.
  • Named one of the top 100 companies to work for in Oregon by Oregon Business Magazine.
