Veteran Developer Returns to Wood Partners as Director of Development

Deb Anderson to Oversee All New Development in Eastern North Carolina and Virginia


RALEIGH-DURHAM, NC--(Marketwired - Apr 14, 2014) - Wood Partners, L.L.C is pleased to announce that Deb Anderson, who was with the company from 1998 until 2010, is returning as director of development for eastern North Carolina and Virginia, overseeing new community development and financing as well as asset management for existing communities.

Anderson previously served Wood Partners as director of administration, from 2007 to 2010, overseeing national administrative functions for more than 320 employees and, from 1998 to 2007, as director of development for the Raleigh-Durham office, where she completed more than 4,700 units with a net value of more than $475 million.

Anderson most recently served as the executive director for the Leonard W. Wood Center for Real Estate Studies and adjunct professor of real estate development at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler Business School. She began her real estate career establishing and managing Trammell Crow Residential's Raleigh-Durham office, from 1993 to 1997, where she completed multifamily communities with a net value of $120 million.

Anderson earned a master's degree from the University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School, where she was a Richard H. Jenrette Fellow and a Dean's Scholar, and a bachelor's degree in biology, cum laude, from Williams College. She serves on the Board of Directors for Student U, an educational access nonprofit in Durham, and for the Grandfather Home for Children in Banner Elk.
