TAMPA, FL--(Marketwired - April 15, 2014) - Nextech, a leading provider of fully integrated electronic medical records (EMR), practice management, revenue management, patient engagement and mobility solutions for specialty physician practices, today announced the appointment of Kevin McDonald as the company's new senior vice president of sales and marketing. McDonald will be responsible for creating and implementing sales operations strategies designed to enhance the company's overall business objectives.

McDonald brings more than 20 years of experience in the physician, hospital and surgery center industries, as well as an extensive knowledge of EMR, practice management, revenue cycle management, HIT and HIE solutions to his role at Nextech.

McDonald joins Nextech from Source Medical Solutions, where he served in multiple executive positions across several business units, including surgery, revenue cycle and account management. Prior to Source Medical Solutions, McDonald was vice president of sales at Healthvision Corporation, where he was responsible for the development of a new physician direct division and physician portal sales. McDonald has also held leadership positions at Cerner Corporation, Medical Manager Southeast, Inc. and PracticeWorks, Inc.
