1350-1360 Rene-Levesque West Achieves LEED(R) Silver Certification

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - April 15, 2014) - Canderel is pleased to announce that 1350-1360 René-Lévesque West in downtown Montreal has achieved LEED^® Silver certification under the Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance program presented by the Canada Green Building Council. The property is managed by Canderel on behalf of building owners, KanAm GrundGroup.

The LEED^® certification process included a variety of environmental initiatives which have led to significant reductions in the property's consumption of energy and water as well as greenhouse gas emissions. In fact, the recommissioning of 1350-1360 René-Lévesque West's heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC), undertaken as part of the certification project, was awarded the prestigious Energia Award for the Best Recommissioning Project in the province of Quebec for 2012. Together, the recommissioning projects led to a 28% reduction in annual energy use, a 49% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and a 12% reduction in water use.
