Moscow Hotel Reaches out to Orphanage for One Unforgettable Day

So when the Renaissance Moscow Monarch Centre Hotel coordinated its own version of a play date with a local orphanage. This special event, titled "To Children with Love", pulled out all the stops to ensure that the 14 boys and girls experienced the same sort of luxury and attention that its guests enjoy. And the result was an unequivocal success.

The kids and their chaperone arrived at the hotel on 29 March 2014 and were greeted by two super chefs -- General Manager Armin Eberhard and Director of Operations Constantinos Gavriel -- who promised to cook up an amazing day.

Things started off well as the children enjoyed a coffee break before embarking on a tour of what is one of the most stylish contemporary hotels in Moscow, Russia. They admired the sweeping views of the Corner Suite and imagined what lavish experiences might await inside one of the hotel's 40 service apartments (ideal for travelers on extended stays in Moscow).

The fitness centre, two-story Executive Lounge (also boasting panoramic views), ballroom and restaurants were all open to the children. Even the housekeeping and laundry rooms were available for inspection, which led to a surprising reaction among the kids -- the ironing equipment thoroughly captivated their attention with its speed and efficiency.

After the tour, the kids rolled up their sleeves and got to work at the master classes, which provided hands-on tutelage for mixing cocktails and grilling burgers. So much food prep undoubtedly worked up an appetite among the visitors, because the kids eagerly headed to Premier, the hotel's chic restaurant in Moscow, Russia, which offers European and Asian creative cuisine. That day, however, the "chefs" Eberhard and Gavriel whipped up an Italian feast of salads, appetizers, remoulade tomato soup, pizza and pastas. Of course, they didn't forget the best part of the meal, either: An enticing selection of handmade desserts was also presented to the eager children.

After lunch, the children received individual gifts that made for an even more memorable experience. And just like the hotel's guests who enjoy attentive service and indulgent amenities, these kids are already looking forward to their next visit.
