Acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, Jacques Gourde, Member of Parliament for Lotbinière-Chutes-de-la-Chaudière and Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister, for Official Languages and for the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, today announced that the firm AMT Die Casting Inc. has been granted financial assistance to improve productivity and increase its production capabilities.
This assistance has been awarded in the form of a $3,008,000 repayable financial contribution through Canada Economic Development's Quebec Economic Development Program.
Mr. Gourde took the opportunity while in the region to meet with entrepreneurs for a round-table discussion earlier in the day in Rivière-du-Loup on the challenges facing the region's business community and on how the Government of Canada can help.
