Demilec SPFA Assistant & Installer Level Prep Course Launched

ARLINGTON, TX--(Marketwired - Apr 18, 2014) - Demilec is oering an exam preparatory seminar to assist contractors and installers to certify under the SPFA Professional Certification Program (PCP). Demilec's SPFA Assistant and Installer level proper course will help prepare the attendees to take the SPFA examinations for the Assistant and Installer levels. In addition to this classroom training, a Technical Service Representative will visit your jobsite a few weeks after the course and conduct further hands-on training.

The prerequisite for SPFA's Professional Certification Program is the CPI Health and Safety Training - High Pressure, which can be completed online at http://www.spraypolyurethane.org. Demilec asks all attendees of the training seminars to take this valuable training, pass the test and have a current certification number prior to attending the classes being held. Demilec will teach the class assuming that attendees have completed the CPI Health and Safety Training and have reviewed the SPFA PCP's Assistant and Installer level material, which will be sent electronically after registration. Consult your local Territory Manager or Technical Service Rep if you have any questions about the training material.

Day 1 is a review of the Assistant level curriculum and the Assistant level exam. Day 2 is a review of the Installer level curriculum and the Installer level exam. Participants will have 2 hours to complete each exam. Following the Installer level exam on day 2, we will discuss Demilec products, including spray foam systems and Blazelok fire coatings.

Hands On Training

After the course, Demilec's Technical Services Reps will contact each attendee and make an appointment to come to a jobsite and work with the attendee in the field for a day. Their TSR's are extremely knowledgeable and will share tips and tricks to enhance safety, productivity, quality and yield. They'll work from a checklist of SPFA PCP Learning Objectives and explain and demonstrate procedures and techniques specific to Demilec spray foam systems. The Demilec TSR's will also review rig maintenance, troubleshooting and address any question the field crew might have regarding spray foam.

SPFA Certification Exams

All SPFA PCP exams are available on a reservation basis. In accordance with the SPFA PCP policy, all who take the exams must first be registered into the program, have CPI Health and Safety certification, and must take the exam required for a given level and all lower level exams. Each test is about 100 questions with a 2 hour time limit. We can accommodate others who want to take different SPFA exams during the 2 hour test period at the end of each day. Exams other than Assistant and Installer level must be reserved at least two weeks in advance. Attendees will register for the SPFA PCP on the SPFA website and pay exam fees directly to the SPFA accordingly. A description of the SPFA PCP is online at http://www.sprayfoam.org/index.php?page_id=4557.
