Cirque Lodge Announces Hiring of Former Betty Ford Executive Daryl Bullock

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 22, 2014) - Ending a great deal of speculation, Cirque Lodge announced today that Daryl Bullock has accepted a position as Cirque's Senior Vice-President for Referent Relations. Mr. Bullock was the long-time Executive Director for Business Development at the Betty Ford Center and left shortly after the Center's acquisition by Hazelden.

"Cirque Lodge has always had a stellar clinical and customer service reputation. They are an excellent brand in our industry and, most importantly for me, they seem committed to mission over margin," Mr. Bullock said in a statement. "I am grateful for the many attractive offers I have had over the last few months, but the fact that Cirque has resisted opiate-replacement therapy in the young adult community, resisted the sale of their facility to the big corporate entities and the fact that it is owned by a sole proprietor who is not afraid to make decisions proved to me beyond a shadow of a doubt that Cirque is where I wanted to work."

By bringing in Bullock, Cirque Lodge has signaled its intent to take on the marketing juggernauts that are the private equity firms, who many believe are seeking to dominate the treatment industry.

"Daryl Bullock has the longevity and reputation in our field that makes me proud that he would choose us over several other attractive offers," stated Richard Losee, CEO and Founder of Cirque Lodge. "Daryl's passion and professionalism in working with the addict and alcoholic who still suffers was evident to me from our first meeting. We as an organization feel like he is a kindred spirit and his philosophical stance on treatment resonated with me from the beginning. He is a do-the-next-right-thing individual."
