PINOT'S PALETTE DEDICATES ORIGINAL ARTWORK TO HOUSTON COMMUNITY

Houston's Original Paint And Sip Unveils Starry Night Over Houston For 5th Anniversary Celebration

HOUSTON, April 30, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Five years ago a "bromance" and love of an idea led to the creation of Pinot's Palette. The first studio opened its doors May 8, 2009, and now has grown to more than 70 studios across the United States.

Join Pinot's Palette in celebrating it's 5th anniversary 7 p.m., May 8, 2014, at the Montrose location 2406 Taft, for the special class of painting Starry Night Over Houston.

When asked where the idea for the paint and sip industry came from, CEO Craig Ceccanti remarks, "Growing up in Louisiana, my mother had a love for art and would try to coax me into joining her. Once I was in college I relented and brought along my cooler of beer. It was there I realized what a great marriage it was between painting and sipping!"

As the idea played around in Ceccanti's head, another Louisiana transplant, Charles Willis, was talking with his wife about this idea he heard about painting and wine as entertainment. Over drinks at a local bar, Pinot's Palette was born into existence. With Beth Willis' knowledge of art, Ceccanti's software background and Charles Willis' engineering brain, they were a train that couldn't be stopped.

"Launching the Montrose Studio was exciting and scary all at the same time. There was no road map for this industry, in fact it wasn't an industry yet!" mentions Beth Willis.

To celebrate, the artists of Pinot's Palette have created Starry Night Over Houston a painting that will debut at the anniversary party on May 8th. Everyone is invited to sign up for this class and create their own masterpiece. "The unveiling of a master series painting converted to showcase our city is very exciting for us!" says Natalie Wells, lead artist trainer and art master librarian. "Our goal is to bring art to the masses, and what better way to do that."

No art experience is required, the classes are designed to be fun and entertaining. The artists will easily walk you through creating your masterpiece.

In 2013 Pinot's Palette implemented Painting It Forward, a branch of the company dedicated to giving back to the communities through donations and fundraising efforts.

Pinot's Palette has partnered with many great brands in the past five years, from Match.com, hosting their single mixers to working with the TBS hit series "Cougar Town."

Pinot's Palette is an upscale, entertainment art studio which combines the appreciation of art and wine through guided, step-by-step painting classes by a trained local artist. Today, over 70 studios host hundreds of painters each week and the company has become one of the fastest-growing Paint and Sip franchises in the country.
