Airrosti Named Head of Athlete Services for 2014 Central East CrossFit Regional

Competitors Benefit From Airrosti Expertise at Four Other Regional Competitions and the 2014 Reebok CrossFit Games

SAN ANTONIO, TX--(Marketwired - Apr 30, 2014) - For the second year in a row, Airrosti Rehab Centers -- a leading health care group based in San Antonio -- has been selected to lead Athlete Services at the Central East CrossFit Regional in Cincinnati, Ohio. As head of Athlete Services, Airrosti will help athletes maintain peak physical fitness and restore function and range of motion to areas of the body where athletes are experiencing difficulties. Airrosti will expand its partnership with The CrossFit Games by leading Athlete Services at four other regional competitions and at the 2014 Reebok CrossFit Games in Carson, California this summer as well.

The CrossFit Games Open began on February 17th and continued for five weeks. This stage of the Games challenged athletes with five workouts released weekly. Athletes around the world tested their fitness each week by completing the Open workout and submitting their scores via the Games website. The athletes with the top scores from this stage qualified to move on to the Regional competitions.

Over 209,000 competitors participated in the CrossFit Games Open in hopes of finishing as the top 1% who advance to one of the 17 Regional events worldwide. Each regional competition will last three days, hosting individuals and teams that will compete for a designated number of spots allotted for advancement to the CrossFit Games. Airrosti will head Athlete Services at five of these Regional competitions and will be responsible for all athlete recovery and treatment. At the Central East Regional Event, Airrosti providers will be onsite providing the necessary treatment to keep these athletes performing at their best. Competitors are constantly striving to outdo themselves and their opponents as they move through workouts that test their full body and functional fitness. Maintaining optimal physical fitness, mobility and health are critical to a competitor's ability to advance from The Open to Regionals and, ultimately, competing for the title of Fittest on Earth™ at the CrossFit Games in California.

"Airrosti is thrilled to provide support to the CrossFit Games' world-class athletes -- showcasing our ability to quickly and efficiently resolve soft-tissue injuries and get athletes back in the box," said Airrosti CEO Kelly Green. "It's been a pleasure to work with athletes competing on a global scale, and even more exciting to continue to become more involved with expanding games each year."

CrossFit, Inc. is equally enthusiastic about the expanding relationship with Airrosti.

"CrossFit athletes demand a lot from their bodies during competition, and we take their recovery very seriously," CrossFit Games General Manager Justin Bergh said. "The athletes who make it to the Games can count on the best recovery staff out there. Their performance will reflect that. We're excited to see Airrosti expanding their footprint to additional Regions in 2014. Our athletes are in good hands."
