DSM announces results of Annual General Meeting of Shareholders

Heerlen, Netherlands, May 7, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Royal DSM today held its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders.

The following items were approved:

• Adoption of the Financial Statements for 2013
• Adoption of the dividend for 2013 (see also separate press release)
• Release from liability of the members of the Managing Board and Supervisory Board for their responsibilities in the financial year 2013
• Reappointment of Mr. R-D. Schwalb as a member of the Managing Board
• Appointment of Mrs. G. Matchett as a member of the Managing Board
• Reappointment of Mr. R. Routs and Mr. T. de Swaan as members of the Supervisory Board
• Appointment of KPMG Accountants N.V. as external Auditor for the financial years 2015, 2016 and 2017
• Extension of the period during which the Managing Board is authorized to issue ordinary shares and to limit or exclude the preferential right when issuing ordinary shares
• Authorization of the Managing Board to have the company repurchase shares
• Reduction of the issued capital by canceling shares
