$3.3 Million The Pick(TM) Jackpot Winning Ticket Claimed

PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwired - May 9, 2014) - The Arizona Lottery announces the winning ticket for the $3.3 million The Pick jackpot for the drawing on Saturday, April 26 has been claimed.

Robert Brito, a public servant from Phoenix, purchased the winning The Pick ticket at the QuikTrip located at 6702 W. Glendale Ave. in Glendale. Brito purchased a single Quick Pick® for the Saturday drawing, but didn't check his numbers until the following Wednesday morning. He called his daughter to double-check the winning numbers, but waited to tell the rest of his family until he got home from work. Brito met with a financial advisor before redeeming the ticket.

Brito and his wife haven't decided what they are going to do with their winnings, but said he is thankful to God and plans to enjoy life one day at a time.

"Robert and Anna are a humble couple and presenting them with a check for Arizona's own jackpot game was an honor," said Karen Bach, director of budget, products and communications for the Arizona Lottery.

The next drawing for The Pick is Saturday, May 10 for an estimated $1.2 million jackpot. Tickets can be purchased at any Arizona Lottery retailer.

Players can check their tickets by visiting ArizonaLottery.com.
