Federal funding announced for the Festival des sucres de Saint-Pierre-Baptiste
SAINT-PIERRE-BAPTISTE, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - May 12, 2014) - Department of Canadian Heritage
The Honourable Christian Paradis, Minister of International Development, Minister for La Francophonie and Member of Parliament (Mégantic-L'Érable) has announced $38,700 in funding for the Festival des sucres de Saint-Pierre-Baptiste. Minister Paradis made the announcement on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.
Funding is provided by the Government of Canada through the Local Festivals component of the Building Communities through Arts and Heritage Program. From May 16 to May 18, residents of Saint-Pierre-Baptiste and surrounding communities will be able to sample maple products and take part in other activities in a festive atmosphere.
