WINDSOR, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - May 13, 2014) - The province-wide campaign to stop Conservative Leader Tim Hudak rolls into Windsor 6 p.m., Tues., May 13, for an urgent and large all-union meeting. With only weeks left to mobilize, Ontario's labour movement is organizing for the fight of its life.

"Mr. Hudak's entire platform is centred on dismantling the labour movement to clear the way for a low-wage economy," said OFL President Sid Ryan. "He isn't fooling anyone. No matter how he tries to massage his message, Tim Hudak is still committed to the same extremist policies that would divide our workplaces, weaken workers' voices and drive down wages for everyone.

What: Media Conference in advance of the Windsor and District Labour Council Regional Meeting to Stop Tim Hudak
When: 5:30 p.m., May 13, 2014
Where: Caboto Hall, 2175 Parent Avenue. Windsor
Speakers: Sid Ryan, OFL President and Chris Taylor, President, Windsor and District Labour Council

"Hudak wants to force workers in the Windsor region to compete with workers in low-wage jurisdictions in a race to the bottom. He is determined to eliminate the workplace rights that stand in the way of his plan," said Windsor and District Labour Council President Chris Taylor.

The meeting is now open to media.
