Seasonal Buoy Tending Operations Underway on the Great Lakes


MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - May 16, 2014) - The Canadian Coast Guard wishes to advise all marine traffic that seasonal buoy tending operations have been delayed in the following waterways:

  • Muskoka Lakes including Lakes Muskoka, Rosseau and Joseph
  • Lake of Bays
  • Lake Nipissing
  • portions of the Ottawa River

Navigation markers may be off position, may be damaged or may not be showing proper characteristics. The Coast Guard is requesting the public's assistance in using caution while travelling in these waterways and to report all discrepancies to the nearest Marine Communications and Traffic Services station.
