EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - May 20, 2014) - EPCOR Utilities Inc. (EPCOR) is today launching a new suite of products that gives Albertans a simple, easy way to buy electricity and natural gas.
Under the brand name Encor - a product offering by EPCOR - residential and small commercial consumers can choose from five-year guaranteed-rate energy plans for electricity at $0.0799 per kWh, or they can sign up for a three-year plan. Optionally, they can also add natural gas to their energy bill, or purchase it separately on three- and five-year guaranteed and floating rates.
"Our customers have told us that having choice in how and when they buy electricity is important to them. Encor delivers that and goes even further - it adds natural gas and makes the whole retail experience easy and more convenient," said EPCOR President & CEO David Stevens.
EPCOR will continue to provide the Regulated Rate Option (RRO) to Edmonton and Fortis consumers who choose not to opt for an energy plan. Encor's retail products are available in Alberta.

Customers can choose any retailer listed at www.ucahelps.alberta.ca or at 310-4822. The electricity or gas that is delivered to your home, business or other location is not affected by your choice of retailer.
