2014 Taste of Cincinnati to Feature More Food, Longer Hours

Nation's Longest-Running Culinary Arts Festival Set for Memorial Day Weekend, May 24-26


CINCINNATI, OH--(Marketwired - May 21, 2014) - The 36th edition of the Taste of Cincinnati, presented by Meijer and Christian Moerlein, will serve up food, fun and festivities on Memorial Day weekend Saturday and Sunday, May 24 and 25, from 11 a.m. to midnight, and Monday, May 26, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Admission to Taste of Cincinnati, the nation's longest running culinary arts festival, is free and open to the public.

The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, which organizes Taste, says the 2014 edition of Taste will be its largest to date with more than 250 food options, and will open at 11 a.m., an hour earlier than before.

"This year's Taste of Cincinnati will feature approximately 60 area restaurants, more than 70 entertainment acts and three days of one of the finest culinary festivals anywhere," said Patrick Sheeran, vice president of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. "We have nearly doubled our intimate dining options at our Taste Experience and added several options in our Food Truck Alley, with both areas celebrating the variety and expertise of our region's culinary scene."

Tastings, Tappings and Meet the Brewers by Christian Moerlein
As the official beer of Taste of Cincinnati, Christian Moerlein Brewing Co. will serve specialty craft beers like Golden Helles, Over the Rhine Ale, Exposition Vienna Lager, Northern Liberties IPA, and Zeppelin Pale Ale. The brewers of Moerlein will greet festival goers at the Moerlein Beer Garden on Fountain Square with specialty keg tappings of Boutique One-off Moerlein beers such as Chili Zeppelin Pale Ale, Strawberry Pig, Coffee Bock, Oaked OTR and more. 

NEW: Grand Slam Weekend during Taste of Cincinnati
During the Taste of Cincinnati Weekend, the Cincinnati Reds will host the St. Louis Cardinals (Saturday, May 24, 4:10 p.m. and Sunday, May 25, 1:10 p.m.). Cardinals fans are welcome to come for baseball, stay for the Taste.
