WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwired - Jun 4, 2014) - The Smoke-Free Alternatives Trade Association (SFATA) announced today the launch of the AGE TO VAPE™ program, which will distribute free age-restriction signs to brick-and-mortar vapor product retailers across the nation. Participating retailers will display AGE TO VAPE™ signage indicating they do not sell vapor products to minors and request age verification from consumers at the time of purchase. As the largest and most rapidly growing trade association in the world exclusively serving the vaping industry, SFATA is committed to ensuring vapor products are not sold to minors.
AGE TO VAPE™ program participants must agree to post AGE TO VAPE™ signs, check customer ID's before making a sale, agree not to sell vapor products to minors and agree to be part of a public registry of participating outlets, which will be published online.
